Austin Lost and Found Pets Shelter List

If you have a missing cat, first check your house with a flashlight--every corner, crevice and crawlspace possible, including behind fridge and drawers.
Next, check your neighbors yards (with permission) and ask about any garage doors or sheds that may have been open recently.
Within 24 hours, file a lost pet report with every shelter within a sixty-mile radius of your home.
Check shelters in person—or ask me to—DO NOT rely on animal shelter websites, recordings, or even the person answering the phone. These folks are busy and make mistakes. Be ready to provide them with an accurate description and a recent photograph of your pet.
